1. Who we are

budyz operates this advertising directory. For the purposes of applicable data-protection law (including Uganda's Data Protection and Privacy Act, 2019) budyz is the data controller for the information described here. To exercise any right below, contact us.

2. Information we collect

• Account data — name or display name, email, phone, role (visitor, escort, agency), and password (stored only as a secure hash).
• Profile & listing data — for advertisers: photos, videos, bio, location, rates and similar details you choose to publish.
• Transaction data — subscription tier, amounts and payment status. Card and mobile-money details are handled by our payment providers, not stored by budyz.
• Usage data — pages viewed, listings opened, device/browser information, IP address and approximate location, and cookies (see our Cookie Policy).
• Communications — messages you send through the platform or to our support team.

3. How we use it

• To create and operate your account and display listings;
• To process subscriptions and prevent fraud;
• To provide free-view metering, premium access and other features;
• To keep the platform safe — moderation, age assurance, and enforcement of our terms;
• To respond to your requests and send service-related notices;
• To comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.

4. Legal bases

We process your data to perform our contract with you, to pursue our legitimate interests in operating a safe platform, to meet legal obligations, and — where required — with your consent (for example, non-essential cookies). You may withdraw consent at any time.

5. Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:

• Service providers who host, email, process payments or provide analytics on our behalf, under contract;
• Other users, to the extent you choose to publish a public listing;
• Authorities, where required by law or to report illegal activity (including CSAM or trafficking).

6. Public listings

If you publish a profile, the information in it is public and may be indexed by search engines, cached or copied by third parties beyond our control. Only publish what you are comfortable making public. You can unpublish or delete your listing at any time.

7. Retention

We keep personal data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service, then for any period required to meet legal, tax or safety obligations, after which it is deleted or anonymised.

8. Security

We use technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including hashed passwords and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you and the relevant authority of a qualifying breach as required by law.

9. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data; object to or restrict certain processing; and request a copy of your data. You can delete your account from your settings, or contact us for help.

10. Children

budyz is strictly for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has used the platform, report it immediately via our reporting page.

11. International transfers

Some of our providers may process data outside your country. Where they do, we take steps to ensure an appropriate level of protection.

12. Changes

We may update this policy; the "last updated" date reflects the latest version. Significant changes will be highlighted on the platform.
